Television

TV, what a blessing. A means with wich to share information about practically anything. To explore the jugles of South America, to witness a real court trial and its proceedings, to learn how eye surgery is performed, to see starving children in third world countries being helped by people who care, to dance and sing and play with puppets and make education "fun". Children and adults alike have the means to experience things that may not be available to them in their world.

Experience....much of the programing we see on TV is a glimse at what we could experience, most often its the perspective of the producer, director or host of the program that does the experiencing. Question is weather we are really growing through these expereinces. What is the greater good? To experience in part many things, offered though general broadcasting? Or to experience in full, that which we encounter ourselves?

Personally I think choosing our own experiences to experience (in full) is much more valuable than taking the time to sit and sift through the experiences of others through very colourful programming....and don't forget to buy that which you are told is the best product, cause you know commercials only tell the truth right?

If only our children had the (educated) choice too! We must be careful how much our choices about how much time we have, force our kids to only have one choice. There is life beyond our living rooms! Please for their sakes give them some options! And save yourself on Cable! Is it really more important than watching a sun rise? Catching a butterfly? Smelling the flowers? $40+ a month could really buy a lot of time for life.

Evolution

So I'm reading this book. And in it there is a reference to a scientist who proposed in 1985 the idea of a Peace room in contrast to a War room where there is a map of all the problem areas in the world. This peace room would flag areas where ideas are implemented and succesful....the information on how success is achieved would be a great asset to share with those who are seeking to achieve the same in their area. This information would be advantageous because it would save the problem area from starting from scratch. This sounds like an amazing idea to me! Wouldn't it be nice if we could all just get along for the benefit of all humanity?!?!?! But finacial gain is always the priority isn't it? Sadly so....but things can and will change I promise you all ;)

Horay! First Post!

Welcome one and all to the exlusive blog of finditherefirst. M@ is ma name, and I both purposfully and accidentally make spelling mistakes on occasion....I'm human just like you ;). I am very pleased to meet you all perhaps for the first time or through some other means, both friends and strangers are welcome to my blog and I hope that perhaps some learning and/or growth will occur. Even a laugh or two perhaps, but no promises.

This may be the beginning of something that may or may not become something else....I'm pleased to write my thoughts and share them with others but the benefits of this endevour will be thoroughly analysed and furthermore will be categorised as either something from nothing or nothing from something.

I choose not to plan what might get talked about here, and hope that all others will contribute on a fair and appropriate level. We are all equal here and respect of others opinions and points of view is of the utmost priority.
