One Whale of Gratitude

A touching e-mail forward I recieved from a dear friend. My feelings as of late is that we are not alone. Humanity has made a grevious assumption that we are alone as the intelligent beings of this planet. I think we are learning that intellegence has much less to do with accumulating and more to do with appreciation.

If you read the front page story of the SF Chronicle, you would have read about a female humpback whale who had become entangled in a spider web of crab traps and lines.

She was weighted down by hundreds of pounds of traps that caused her to struggle to stay afloat.
She also had hundreds of yards of line rope wrapped around her body, her tail, her torso, a line tugging in her mouth.

A fisherman spotted her just east of the Farralone Islands (outside the Golden Gate) and radioed an environmental group for help.

Within a few hours, the rescue team arrived and determined that she was so bad off, the only way to save her was to divein and untangle her -- a very dangerous proposition.

One slap of the tail could kill a rescuer.

They worked for hours with curved knives
and eventually freed her.

When she was free, the divers say she swam in what seemed like joyous circles.

She then came back to each and every diver, one at a time, and nudged them, pushed gentlyaround-she thanked them.

Some said it was the most incredibly
beautiful experience of their lives.

The guy who cut the rope out of her mouth
says her eye was following him the whole
time, and he will never be the same.

May you, and all those you love,
be so blessed and fortunate----
to be surrounded by people
who will help you get untangled
from the things that are binding you.

And, may you always know the joy of
giving and receiving gratitude.

Who is getting a little nervous of Stephen Harper?

I am! I am!

Where is Canada headed? I think we may have all our egg's in one basket here. And Mr. Harper is jumping around like a rabbit precariously bouncing all the eggs around. I hope he doesn’t start to hide them on us, those eggs belong to all Canadians right?

What are the eggs? The eggs are our children, our families, and our morals as a people. You thought I was talking about the budget or the state of the economy or something equally incomparable to human life and the basic enjoyment of that life.

I have been looking for an alternative. Not necessarily a solution but simply an idea that people could think about and expand on. I believe I have happened upon just such an idea that I want to share with anyone else who may be seeking idea’s for a new ideal world.

Please read: The Solidar System linked on my other blog and Enjoy!

Imagine, imagine, you can imagine...thats all that is being asked...no action

"The ancestor to every action is a thought."

"You become what you think about"

Now knowing these two statements above, read the familiar below and simply see it as possible. No need to go outside and make it happen right now because it already is. If you know this, if you feel this, if you want this; then all you must do is accept it into your being. From that moment on you will act upon your knowledge of this image that is produced by your imagination but is not separate from your intention. It will then become reality as it must.

"Imagine there's no heaven, It's easy if you try, No hell below us, Above us only sky, Imagine all the people living for today...

Imagine there's no countries, It isn't hard to do, Nothing to kill or die for, No religion too, Imagine all the people living life in peace...

Imagine no possessions, I wonder if you can, No need for greed or hunger, A brotherhood of men, imagine all the people Sharing all the world...

You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one, I hope some day you'll join us, And the world will live as one.."

He certainly was not the only one, and now seems to be but a drop in a bucket. Soon we will call the ones who choose to see impossibilities as the dreamers because we will know that it is what we put our attention on that manifests into this world.

Peace for all ways and people

Band-wagon

Ok I know, the celebrities are all doing it. I guess that means we should too...cause we so happily follow our role models, right? LOL!

Fact is, these celebrities are the ones joining up with average people like you and me (or seemingly so). People who have decided or noticed rather that there are very easy and quite available options in this modern world to 'Make Poverty History'.

I'm sure if you watch TV you know Brad Pitt, George Clooney, LL Cool J, Pink, and the list goes on, and on and on... All affiliated with organisations that are simply trying to make a difference by generating numbers of supporters. The theory is if they can prove that there is enough support out there, then politicians and such will have to follow the desires of the people.

We have power when we work together. I know, I know...most people would rather do bamboo shoots than join hollywood, but for at least this once we all need to stand together, regardless of any differences that can be imagined.

I will always have links on the top corners of my blog as you can see.
You can sign up on either site and I suggest both:

For the Canadians, we all know Here is a letter from two Canadians you may know...I don't...lol Take Action
